(yes, I do realize I'm slow on all of these holiday posts...)
While we were in the Northwest for Christmas we headed north to go visit our not so long ago stomping grounds, Olympia, WA. We were there for literally 24 hours but I'm so glad we made the trip. It was so good to be back together with some good friends.
We stayed at Bart and Misty's. Owen was in heaven playing with Major all he wanted. After all, Major was his best friend for the first 16 months of his life. I think they remembered each other. It was really good to catch up and just be there with the Brimhalls, just like the good old days. They were our family while living in WA and always took such good care of us.
Julie came over for a couple visits--I love that girl! She cracks me up and is a wonderful friend to have. The one night we were there we spent the evening at Austin and Sabrena's playing games and eating pizza.
We weren't in Olympia for very long, but I was reminded that you don't need to know people for very long for them to have a lasting impact on you. I'm so thankful we were able to go visit. Unfortunately we did not get to see everyone we would've loved to see. With 24 hours in the area we decided to not split our time running around crazy trying to see everyone.
Hopefully we'll get back there another time to spend more time with others too.

And then Owen conked out the whole way back to Portland.
