A Nesting Mess

A Nesting Mess--That kind of describes my house right now. It feels like the baby is coming quick and I'm suddenly on a rampage to get everything in order around here. That means getting everything into it's proper place, getting rid of anything "extra", de-junking, throwing away what we haven't used for our entire 4 years of marriage, and organizing, organizing, organizing!! Especially now that we're staying here in MN (oh, have I not mentioned that we thought we were moving but are now staying put?! Hmmm....lots to update) I'm feeling a real need to really settle, instead of living with a mindset of mobility. Also, adding baby girl to our 2 bedroom town home is really encouraging me to have "a place for everything and everything in its place" (are you proud mom?) so we feel like we fit well in our place.

This picture was taken last night. Ryan is kindly supporting my nesting habits and helped me go through every single box in our garage. We made great progress and have a good sized "get rid of" pile which makes me feel much better.

Speaking of....it's time to get organizing. Adios!

Good for you! I am in major spring cleaning mode since the weather has been nice here. We also have a two bedroom townhouse and I am feeling so cramped already. I can imagine that it is going to be even worse if we have a second baby while we're still here! I hope you guys are happy to be staying in Minnesota!

I love it Alisa! It is a great feeling to get rid of stuff you don't need. This makes me laugh, cuz Kevin and I cleaned out our garage last night too and got rid of lots. I opened the door a few times throughout the day today to see our organized garage. not perfect but soo much better. Hope you are feeling well!

Way to go! I think it is a pain to organize everything, but it feels so good when it's done!

Ooooooooh! I wish I could be there to help you out! This is my idea of fun!! My motto is: "An organized space is an organized mind. An organized mind is an organized life. An organized life is a peaceful life." Another one I live by is similar to yours (or your moms?): "Give every object a home and take it home at least every night." (Ha). So good for you! I can't believe you're so close to having that baby girl!
