Christmas Break Fun

We were in Oregon at Liz and Travis' for a long Christmas break (me and Owen 2 weeks, Ryan 10 days). This made for a lot of fun! Here's a glimpse at some miscellaneous casual events during our wonderful Christmas break:

Liz and I took the boys to their children's museum while Ryan joined Travis and his dad for a day on the road looking at properties.

For some reason a visit with Liz wouldn't be complete until we get in at least one Costco lunch:
The day Brian and Rachelle arrived we headed downtown to watch Jimmer (Sacramento Kings) play against Portland. It was fun to sit in a box and enjoy watching Jimmer (even though Jimmer didn't play as well as we'd hoped):
Liz and Travis' church is literally right behind their house. It was a perfect place to spread out a little, play some basketball, and let the kids run around having fun. We went there on a few occasions. Here's Meghan playing with Calvin and Miles. Megs definitely gets the coolest/most fun aunt award:
Grandma saved some New Year's Eve toys for the boys to play with the next day:
You could find our crowd like this if we were ever just sitting around hanging out. There were enough new ipads, ipods, cell phones, and other electronics received at Christmas this year that everyone had fun playing and trying to figure out their new toys.
Owen playing with Meghan's hair:
Owen loved playing with so many new toys at his cousins' houses. Here's Ryan and Owen drawing on Calvin's new art easel and Owen playing football:

And all around it was so much fun watching Owen and his cousins play. He loved having so many buddies to run around with. He was always trying to keep up with everyone. Here are Owen and Miles dressed up in their costumes and Owen, Calvin, and Miles splish splashing:

Hanging out with this lady. It's always so fun to be with my twin! It was fun to talk, catch up, hang out, and just be together. We are (were--Liz had her baby a week ago) both pregnant, due 5 weeks apart:

Even though we had a long trip away it was still hard to say good-bye and leave our NW family behind. Thankfully (besides the fact that we had to pay for it) Owen had his own seat on the flights home. I think he fell asleep within minutes of the car ride home. He was wiped out after a long day of travel and a fabulous Christmas break:

Amongst these things pictures we also had so much fun:
  • playing tons of games (games of the season: Trans America, Spot It, Logos, and backwards Charades)
  • a few attempts at watching a movie (we always fell asleep but it was still fun to sit and watch a movie in the middle of the day or late at night just because we could)
  • visiting with Brian and Rachelle's family, Keri and Matthew's family, Adam and Meghan, Mom and Dad, and Liz and Travis' family
  • Going to the Evans' (Rick and Kari) to watch the BYU bowl game which had a happy ending
  • Eating a lot!!
  • morning walks with Mom and Dad
  • going back to Olympia to visit friends (separate post coming)
  • lots of hang out time with Liz and Travis
  • a long vacation not worrying about work or too much of any schedule
